Enea Bastianini, the Italian MotoGP rising star, is gearing up for a pivotal moment in his 2025 season as he heads to his home Grand Prix at Mugello. Despite a challenging start to the season with KTM, the 26-year-old is fueled by recent progress at Aragon and is determined to turn his luck around.

Having only secured two top 10 finishes this season, Bastianini’s transition to KTM Tech3 has been met with obstacles as he grapples with taming the aggressive nature of the RC16 bike. However, a recent test session at Aragon has reignited his optimism and provided a glimmer of hope for the upcoming race.

Struggling to adapt to the new tires and the bike’s aggressive behavior, Bastianini is banking on the aerodynamic updates introduced by KTM at Aragon to enhance his performance at Mugello. The improvements aim to address his difficulties with corner entry and direction change, crucial areas where he has faced challenges since the beginning of the season.

With the support of his home crowd, family, and friends, Bastianini is determined to improve his qualifying position and regain confidence in the bike’s front end. Last year, he finished second at Mugello, and this year, he aims to leverage the recent technical advancements to propel himself further on a track he holds dear to his heart.

The team director of Tech3 KTM, Nicolas Goyon, emphasized the importance of qualifying for Bastianini, known for his tire management skills that often pay off towards the end of races. The focus remains on refining the bike setup to help him make strides forward at the Grand Prix Brembo d’Italie.

As Bastianini eyes a breakthrough in his 2025 campaign, the weekend at Mugello could serve as a turning point. If he can translate the progress from Aragon into concrete performance, he might just reclaim his spot among the top contenders. With the Italian fans rallying behind him, the stage is set for a remarkable comeback for the promising MotoGP talent.
