Toprak Razgatlioglu’s future may be close to being confirmed – moving to MotoGP with Prima Pramac Yamaha. Currently, the team has Jack Miller out of contract and Miguel Oliveira signed through 2026.

According to the website GPOne.com, there have been significant developments in recent days regarding the Turkish rider’s future – bringing him closer to joining MotoGP with a Pramac satellite Yamaha YZR-M1.

Although not the factory team, Pramac receives identical equipment and is seen as an extension of Monster Energy Yamaha. If confirmed, it would mark Razgatlioglu’s return to the Iwata manufacturer, following a successful World Superbike collaboration that saw him crowned world champion.

The rider tested the YZR-M1 in 2023, before switching to ROKiT BMW the following year. Several factors are playing in his favour to make the dream of racing in MotoGP a reality.

Firstly, Yamaha is highly interested in his services, and even team manager Massimo Meregalli has faith in Razgatlioglu’s abilities. On the other hand, he could bring vital experience with the Pirelli tyres he knows so well from WSBK – the Milanese manufacturer will supply MotoGP from 2027.

From a marketing and commercial standpoint, it would also be a chance to enter the Turkish market, which remains relatively untapped after the country once hosted a GP without much success.

If Razgatlioglu’s move to Prima Pramac Yamaha in MotoGP materializes, the future of the team’s current riders will be left in doubt. Miller only signed for 2025 and, although his work is being appreciated, rumours have recently emerged of strong Honda interest in taking him to WSBK.

As for Oliveira, despite being under contract until the end of next year, an early split cannot be ruled out. It wouldn’t be unprecedented, and the Portuguese rider has yet to “prove himself” after the injuries he suffered in March at the Argentine GP. Time is needed for Oliveira to return to full physical form, but with decisions needing to be made, that could play against #88.
