Speculation surrounding Toprak Razgatlioglu’s long-anticipated move to MotoGP reached new heights this week, as his manager Kenan Sofuoglu confirmed that a contract has been signed — and all signs point to a debut with the Prima Pramac Yamaha team in 2026.

Although no formal announcement has been made by Yamaha or Dorna, multiple insider sources suggest that the official confirmation will come during the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello (June 20–22, 2025).

🗣️ Kenan Sofuoglu Hints at Deal

Speaking to Turkish outlet Motoetkinlik, Sofuoglu gave the strongest indication yet that the deal is done:

Pecco Bagnaia confident in home support to defend Mugello hegemony: ‘We will leave no stone unturned here’

“We’ve spoken with five manufacturers across MotoGP and World Superbike. We’ve signed a contract that will satisfy everyone,” he said.

These comments strongly align with reports that Toprak will join Pramac Yamaha with a full factory-spec bike — the same machinery used by Fabio Quartararo in the Monster Energy Yamaha team.

🔄 Who Will He Replace?

According to the current paddock chatter, Razgatlioglu is expected to replace either Jack Miller or Miguel Oliveira at Pramac, and will be allowed to bring personal sponsors, including Red Bull, a long-time backer of the Turkish superstar.

🔥 Ducati Eyes Razgatlioglu Too

Even Ducati sporting director Davide Tardozzi has expressed admiration for the two-time World Superbike champion, stating:

“I’m a fan of Toprak — he knows that. He could fight for the top six in MotoGP. But I don’t think he can arrive and win immediately.”

Tardozzi was cautious in his expectations, noting that MotoGP requires adaptation even for elite talent, but he remains optimistic about Toprak’s readiness.

“There’s a stopwatch. It’ll tell you whether he’s too old or not,” Tardozzi said in reference to the 28-year-old’s age. “Toprak is in excellent physical and mental condition. He still has several years to compete at the highest level.”

🏍️ Why the Move Now?

After years of speculation and several test sessions on Yamaha MotoGP machinery, Razgatlioglu’s jump from WSBK to MotoGP seemed a matter of when, not if. However, the missing piece had always been the assurance of a factory-level machine. That guarantee appears to have arrived in the form of a works-spec YZR-M1 at Pramac — finally giving the Turkish ace the equipment he needs to make the leap.

📅 What’s Next?

If all goes according to plan, Toprak Razgatlioglu will be officially unveiled as a 2026 MotoGP rider at Mugello in late June. His potential arrival will inject fresh star power into the grid and add another name to the growing list of World Superbike graduates taking on MotoGP’s elite.

The wait may finally be over. MotoGP is on the verge of welcoming one of WorldSBK’s biggest talents. All that’s left is the announcement. 🏁🇹🇷
