Manuel Lettenbichler, German rider for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, is ready to defend his title in the 2025 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship. Fully recovered from the injury that kept him out of SuperEnduro, the three-time world champion presents himself in full form for the season that begins this weekend in the United Kingdom, with the Valleys Hard Enduro.
When asked about his preparation for the new season, the KTM rider showed confidence despite the recovery period. ‘My pre-season went really well, especially given that I was out due to injury for quite a long time. I’m feeling confident and my fitness is at a good level ahead of the 2025 season’, revealed Lettenbichler, who appears fully recovered and ready to give his all in the seven rounds of the championship.
The German also reflected on the previous season, marked by a knee injury that could have compromised his title aspirations. ‘My 2024 season was a mixed bag. I missed one race to have surgery on my knee and I didn’t think there was any chance I would be able to bring it back and win the championship’, recalled the KTM athlete, who surprisingly managed to overcome all adversities. ‘I fought really hard to finish the season and get my third title in a row, and I was relieved to have done it again’, he added.
The rider highlighted the hard work done by the team in preparing his KTM 300 EXC CHAMPION EDITION, as well as his own physical commitment. ‘The team have worked really hard to make sure the bike is perfect, and I have put in the time to make sure I am at full fitness’, explained Lettenbichler, who in addition to the world championship will also defend his titles in iconic events such as the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo and Red Bull Romaniacs.
With the first race of the championship taking place this weekend, the reigning champion does not hide his optimism and determination to achieve a fourth consecutive title. ‘I’m feeling super positive going into round one this weekend, and as always, my goal is to win races and claim another title’, concluded Lettenbichler, who after the Valleys Hard Enduro in the United Kingdom, will face races in countries such as the USA, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Germany, and Lesotho, in a season that promises to be demanding and exciting.
