High drama and a nail-biting finish mark the conclusion of the 250SX East/West Showdown in Salt Lake City.

The 250SX East/West Showdown finale in Salt Lake City was nothing short of chaotic. Haiden Deegan rocketed out of the gate for the holeshot, with Tom Vialle and Seth Hammaker in tow. RJ Hampshire, hampered by a poor gate pick from the LCQ, started deep in the field but mounted a furious charge through the pack.

In no time, Hampshire was inside the top seven, and within five minutes, he had climbed to fifth and was closing fast. Up front, Beaumer overtook Hammaker and then chased down Vialle, eventually slipping past him with a calculated pass. Hammaker followed suit, putting him in position to claim the championship.

But drama struck again. Hampshire tripled past Vialle, then targeted Hammaker. Hammaker briefly reclaimed second from Beaumer, but Beaumer returned the favour with a forceful pass. Soon after, Hampshire attempted a block pass on Hammaker but ended up taking both riders down, shuffling the standings dramatically and handing the title lead back to Vialle.

With the white flag waving, Hammaker needed to close a two-second gap to Vialle but couldn’t gain enough through the whoops, missing his last real shot.

Deegan won the race, followed by Beaumer, Vialle, Hammaker, and Michael Mosiman. The third-place finish was enough for Tom Vialle to secure the 250SX East Division Championship in a heart-pounding conclusion.

Cole Davies took a convincing victory in the AMA Supercross 250SX main event at Lumen Field in Seattle. The rider secured the holeshot, but faced a brief tussle with Julien Beaumer before regaining the lead and building a solid four-second advantage. Garrett Marchbanks, Haiden Deegan and Julien Beaumer completed the podium.

The race started with Davies in front, but Beaumer quickly took the lead on the first lap. Moments later, Deegan crashed alone in the corner before the bumps. At the front, Davies regained the position when Beaumer left the inside open, allowing Davies to dive in, block the pass and retake the lead. With impressive acceleration, Davies quickly pulled away, while Beaumer fought to keep Marchbanks behind.

Halfway through the race, an intense battle developed between Beaumer and Marchbanks for second place. Marchbanks managed to overtake Beaumer on the bumps, but a few laps later, Beaumer regained second place. At the same time, Deegan, who was running sixth, was engaged in an exciting duel with Jo Shimoda, marked by aggressive overtaking, including a particularly hard entry by Shimoda into a left-hand bend.

Deegan eventually distanced himself from Shimoda and set off in pursuit of Coty Schock, who was in fourth position. Although Deegan followed Schock closely for several laps, he couldn’t get close enough to overtake him. However, Schock ended up crashing on his own in a rhythm section, paving the way for Deegan’s advance.

Towards the end of the race, the battle between Beaumer and Marchbanks intensified again, with Marchbanks regaining second position. Under pressure and with Deegan closing in, Beaumer made a serious mistake that almost caused him to crash. Two corners later, Deegan made an aggressive entry on Beaumer, hitting his front wheel, but surprisingly, Beaumer managed to stay on track. Davies crossed the finish line first, followed by Marchbanks, Deegan, Beaumer and Shimoda. After the race, Beaumer and Deegan exchanged heated words in a visibly tense confrontation.

Cooper Webb took a thrilling victory at the Seattle round of the AMA Supercross 450, 450SX Main Event, held at Lumen Field Stadium. The rider triumphed after an intense battle with Chase Sexton, winning by less than a second, while Aaron Plessinger, Ken Roczen and Dylan Ferrandis completed the top five.

The race was marked by constant changes of position and dramatic overtaking. Although Aaron Plessinger made an excellent start, it was Webb who secured the lead in the first corner when Plessinger opened up too much. Ken Roczen took second place initially, creating an epic duel with Webb on the bumps and rhythm sections that had the crowd cheering intensely.

Chase Sexton, who started in fifth place, showed impressive technique by overtaking Justin Cooper and then moving past Webb and Roczen in quick succession, managing to take the lead during the middle part of the race. Roczen, visibly affected by the separation of the acromioclavicular joint in his shoulder, ended up giving up several positions after losing the lead.

In the final phase of the race, Webb regained first place and, despite Sexton’s best efforts, defended the position with mastery. The two drivers fought an intense battle in the final laps, with Sexton trying his triple-triple line in one of the rhythm sections, but unable to complete the second triple that could have been decisive for overtaking.

On the final lap, Webb strategically blocked the inside at the final corner, preventing any overtaking attempt by Sexton who was clearly intent on making a pass. This clever defence ensured victory for Webb, who crossed the finish line with a slender advantage, providing spectators with one of the most exciting finishes of the AMA Supercross season.
