Andrea Adamo (KTM) delivered a flawless performance at the Portuguese Grand Prix in Águeda, winning both MX2 motos and asserting himself as a title contender with a maximum 50-point haul.
In Moto 1, Adamo surged to the front early and never looked back, winning by nearly 28 seconds over Simon Längenfelder (KTM). Championship leader Kay de Wolf (Husqvarna) took third.
The second moto was more competitive, with Sacha Coenen putting pressure on Adamo. Still, the Italian held his nerve and claimed another win. Coenen finished second, with de Wolf again in third.
With his double victory, Adamo claimed 50 points—ten more than both de Wolf and Längenfelder, who each scored 40. The championship remains extremely tight: de Wolf leads with 328 points, followed by Längenfelder (324) and Adamo (318).
Adamo’s consistency and composure in Águeda show that the reigning champion is firmly back in the title hunt.
